Emerging Leaders Fund grantee organization ImmSchools was cited in recent survey findings as a program that should be expanded in New York City schools to help address the gaps experienced by immigrant families in the public education system. The survey of immigrant families was conducted by the New York Immigration Education Collaborative, who then used the findings to develop the “2021 Roadmap for English Language Learners” for lawmakers, educators and the public.
