Dr. Lucy Marcil, executive director of StreetCred and Emerging Leaders Fund Grantee, recently published an article in the American Academy of Pediatrics entitled “An Economic Relief Plan to Lessen Financial Strain–Associated Illness in Children During The COVID-19 Pandemic”.
The article focuses on the important connection between cash assistance and better health outcomes for families and children. Dr. Marcil says, “Stronger economic supports, including cash benefits, to economically vulnerable children and families, could prevent additional deaths and improve health and wellbeing for millions of Americans during the COVID-19 pandemic and associated economic recession.”
