  • Timely Designated Grant recipient PA is Ready! was recently featured in Social Innovations Journal. The PA is Ready! service model is based on partnership and collaboration between multiple immigration-focused agencies and organizations in Pennsylvania. The article describes the formation of PA is Ready! and its evolution into a rapid response grantmaking fund.
     
  • The work of Community Fund grantee organization LaComunidad Hispana (LCH) was featured in a recent WHYY piece. LCH has been holding free legal clinics and helping clients file renewal applications for the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) program.
     
  • An op-ed co-written by Glenn Bergman, CEO of Philabundance (Critical Issue Fund grantee organization), was published in the 9/18/17 edition of the Philadelphia Inquirer. The piece focuses on the City of Philadelphia’s Zero Waste and Litter Action Plan, which aims to significantly reduce food waste on a city-wide level.   • ELF grantee Maria Vertkin, founder of Found in Translation, is featured in the current edition of O Magazine. The feature celebrates women leaders in the non-profit sector, and showcases Found in Translation’s work with immigrant women training to be translators in healthcare settings.
