A recent Philadelphia Inquirer piece by Alfred Lubrano explains how SHARE Food Program, a nonprofit serving a large network of hunger organizations in the Philadelphia Region, stepped in to assume the refrigeration and distribution contract for both Philadelphia school lunches and USDA emergency food, after the private company that has handled this contract for decades announced it was going out of business.
