The Food Law and Policy Clinic (FLPC) was established in 2010 to address growing concerns about the environmental, health and economic consequences of the laws and policies that make up the structure of the food system. FLPC works with advocates, nonprofits, community-based organizations, as well as other food system stakeholders to understand and improve the laws impacting the food system, and to create cutting-edge policy recommendations. This grant will continue to support FLPC’s overall mission to reduce food waste through law and policy, to offer technical assistance to local and state policymakers and advocates, and to track federal and state food waste legislation in real time.
